Survivor pool strategy

  1. Save your best teams for later. The strongest teams (KC, BUF, BAL) typically face hardest opponents — use them strategically in tough weeks.
  2. Look at Vegas spreads. Pick teams that are 7+ point favorites whenever possible.
  3. Avoid divisional games. Within-division matchups are usually closer; pick non-division favorites instead.
  4. Save 2-3 teams for byes. Weeks 6-14 have NFL byes — limited choices. Keep at least 3 strong teams unused.
  5. Late-season weather. December games at Lambeau/Buffalo/Cleveland have weather variance — avoid road favorites in cold weather.
